Macro


The first phase of conversion of the MACRO was completed in 1999 with the restoration of the old plant design of the Peroni brewery, built in the early twentieth century on via Reggio Emilia, and it has recently been expanded by the leading French architect OdileDecq. The new wing of the building, offers the visitors and Roman citizens both the new exhibition and urban spaces, such as the large terrace, the parking, the library and the restaurant.


OPENING HOURS
Tuesday-Sunday: 11.00 am - 10.00 pm; December 24 and 31: 11.00 am - 2.00 pm; Last admission 1 hour before closing time. The museum is also open every Saturday evening, from October 22, 2011 to January 7, 2012 (excluding Saturday 24 and Saturday, December 31), until 1.00 am (last admission 12.00 am/midnight), usual admission fees apply. Closed Monday, January 1, May 1, December 25.
