Contemporary arts of the XX and XXI century
The exhibition features 60 paintings and architectural models of Russian art of the early XX century, coming from the Tretyakov State Gallery and the Russian regional museums of cities such as Kazan, Kirov, Krasnodar, Nizhny, Novgorod, Pskov, Samara, Saratov. This is a series of works documenting the birth and development of avant garde art in Russia, from the clear influence of artists such as Cezanne, Gauguin and Picasso and Cubist-Futurist French art, the original creations of Suprematist non-objective art and the formal discipline of Constructivism. On display, among others, works by Kazimir Malevich and Vladimir Tatlin, Wassily Kandinsky and Aristarkh Lentulov, Marc Chagall, Robert Falk, Aleksandr Rodchenko and Mikhail Larionov, and women artists such as Natalia Goncharova, Olga Rozanova, Lubov Popova, Nadezhda Udaltsova, Aleksandra Ekster.
