Omar, Roma, Amor

March 17, 2012 - May 6, 2012
Contemporary arts of the XX and XXI century

After ten years,  Omar Galliani returns to exhibit in Rome. The artist chose drawing as his preferred medium of expression, developing a valuable and refined technique, almost to become an autonomous work of art. Galliani reinvented classicism and modernity, from Leonardo, Correggio, Parmigianino to Moreau and Redon, revisits the atmosphere of time and space from the East to the West, combining charm and seduction with the anxieties of contemporary life. Among the works on show, the artist presents  Quante notti a Roma, his visionary tribute to Rome and the Coliseum, a work created for this occasion, which will be accompanied by a number of preparatory drawings that illustrate the complex and creative process of his work.
